Installed in 1969 in the forest of Milly-la-Forêt, the Cyclop is the result of years of collective work, first led by Jean Tinguely and later by Niki de Saint Phalle. This monumental, many-faceted work, a giant head with a single eye and no body, houses sound and movement at its core. Far more than a sculpture, the Cyclop is a space where the visible and the audible intertwine, where machinery gives rise to a complex, sometimes chaotic, but always fascinating soundscape.
