The resource center includes the online catalog of the media library, as well as access to Ircam's documentary databases and audiovisual archives.
Focus
During two evenings at the Ircam Espace de projection on 10 and 13 September 2025, composers from the Cursus Program on Composition and Computer Music presented their work after a rich and intense year with Pierre Jodlowski, associate composer of the Cursus.
Exhibition
Pierre Boulez, founder of Ircam, confronted his musical writing with that of electronics, first using magnetic tapes, then live electronics, and finally transforming sound in real time. An exhibition at the mediatheque documents some of the pieces with electronics that have marked his work, to be discovered from 13 May to 19 December, Tuesday through Friday, from 2pm to 5:30pm.

About
The purpose of the documentation center is to build up and disseminate a body of references on contemporary music, on the relationship between art, science and technology, and on musical research. It also brings together all of the Institute's knowledge and creative resources: concert and conference archives, scores, scientific and popular articles, etc. All these resources are available to the public through the Ircam media library (open Tuesday to Friday, 2:00 to 5:30 pm) and the databases accessible through the portal.

Médiathèque
La médiathèque de l'Ircam est ouverte au public du mardi au vendredi, de 14h à 17h30. La consultation est ouverte à tout le monde, l'emprunt est soumis à abonnement.
Structure et historique des bases de données du Pôle documentaire
- La base des compositeurs et compositrices de musique contemporaine, appelée BRAHMS (Base Relationnelle d’Articles Hypertextes sur la Musique du XXe et du XXIe Siècle).
- La base Analyses qui documente des œuvres composées à l’Ircam dans des articles musicologiques
- La base Médias des archives audiovisuelles de l’Ircam
- La base Sidney qui regroupe la documentation des œuvres électroniques produites à l’Ircam dans le but de pouvoir les rejouer
