George Lewis presents both a historical and a technical overview of his work on generative-interactive artificial intelligence in music, including Chamber Music for Humans and Non-Humans (1979), Rainbow Family (IRCAM, 1984), and Voyager (1987-present), in the context of race, culture, decolonization, sociality, and critical improvisation studies. Lewis also discusses the individual work of the participants.
