Jacopo Conti earned his PhD in musicology at the University of Turin with Franco Fabbri in 2013 focusing on the influences of popular music on “art” music. He teaches at IED (Milan) and modern guitar tech- niques. He writes programme notes for modern and jazz music concerts for the Teatro Regio of Turin. He translated into Italian Philip Tagg’s Everyday Tonality and Music’s Meanings. He lectured at conferences all around Europe and in the USA. He’s member of the Italian branch of IASPM.
