For this fourth session, offered for the first time in binaural audio, for an optimal headphone listening experience, we welcome Molécule (Romain De La Haye), a major figure in French electronic music and widely known as “the pioneer of nomadic electronic music.”
A producer, DJ and adventurer, Molécule captures sounds from the real world: from the waves of Portugal to the ice fields of Greenland to the depths of the North Atlantic, transforming them into compositions that merge music, nature, and technology. From 60°43 Nord and –22.7 °C to his recent RE-201, he continuously explores the elements and pushes the boundaries of sound creation.
Programme:
A live performance, followed by a presentation of the AI technologies from the ACIDS project (Axel Chemla-Romeo-Santos, Philippe Esling, Nils Demerle et David Genova), developed at IRCAM.
For several months, the artist-in-residence has been exploring various programs combining AI, signal processing, and spatial sound to create an original work, which will premiere at the CDA in Enghien-les-Bains in March 2026.
During this session, Molécule will offer a glimpse of his work-in-progress composition, using IRCAM technologies such as SKataRT, After, Rave, Spat/Panoramix, and SoMax2.
