Audio Setup

ADC:

• 1 : flûte microphone

DAC:

transformations -->HP1-2-3-4-5-6

flûte -->HP1-2 (face)

Midi setup

Connect the footswitch pedal to the midi interface

Software installation

• Start MAX 6.1.6 (or above)
  
• Set MAX "files preferences" to « Electrics-FluteConcert » .
  
• quit Max
  
• Re-start Max
  
• Open the «  *Electrics-Fl-Version Concert-2013-V01.maxpat» patch
  

System calibration and tests

1. Dac ON, (switch the dsp on)
2. Init bang, (press the "initialisation" bang)
3. choose ‘Section 1’
4. press next event, Bang
5. press ‘start lecture instrument’ (to test) with the score and click bang for 'next event' written in the score
6. if test OK, ‘stop lecture instrument’

Check footswitch :

When the flutist presses the pedal, the patch advances to the next event

Performance Notes :

• Press the Initialisation bang
• choose ‘Section 1’and  press bang on next event
• The piece is ready to start

The soloist interacts with the electroacoustic part via a footswitch and sound pitch detection (fiddle~ object in MaxMsp). The Max patch analyses each ‘E3’ played by the flute.
